Burnished Brass is a DVD documentary, showing how the Band plays its part in the local community. It also has an archive of still photographs from 1875 to 2007 - a great present for overseas relatives and friends!

The History of the Hemel Hempstead Band
is an illustrated account of events from 1875 to the present day.  It is written by the Band's Librarian & Historian, Barbara Overhead, the first female "bandsman" in southern England.

TThe Hemel Hempstead Band is the result of several mergers over the years, starting in 1875.

We have a comprehensive collection of photographs, press cuttings, and original recordings We have published a DVD, a book, an archive of photographs, and re-issued old recordings on three CDs.
